How To Play the Multi State Powerball Lottery

You have two chances to win the Powerball drawing every week. Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. You can watch televised drawings on a variety of local television stations, or you can check on your official state lottery website. Some state lottery websites broadcast streaming video of the drawings live, and you can watch them on the internet as long as you have the correct viewing software installed on your computer. You can also visit the official Powerball lottery website to see the latest drawings and winning numbers.
The Powerball Lottery Jackpot
Each time there is a Power Ball drawing, the lottery commission decides whether or not a winning ticket has been sold. If at least on winning ticket has been sold, then the Powerball jackpot returns to its base number. If no Power Ball jackpot winning ticket was sold, then the jackpot rolls over into the next drawing. This allows the jackpot to grow to extraordinary amounts, making Powerball one of the most lucrative lottery games in the country. However, the odds of winning a Power Ball drawing are still very slim. It may seem virtually impossible to match all six winning Power Ball lottery numbers, but you can also win prizes for matching five Powerball lotto numbers or less. Thus, you have a one in thirty-seven chance of winning at least a small prize. Also, every time you pick the correct red Powerball lotto number, you win something.
The Multi State Powerball Lottery
You can purchase a Powerball lottery ticket in several different states. However, the Powerball winning numbers are always the same whether you are playing the Pennsylvania Power Ball, the Rhode Island Power Ball or in any other participating state. You also do not have to live in the state in which you purchase your Power Ball ticket. For instance, if you live in New York, you can still purchase a Rhode Island Power Ball ticket or a Pennsylvania Powerball ticket and win.
